Nuclear family loneliness

We're away visiting my in-laws and it's nice having other adults around all the time. If only we could have this (and more) all of the time. Even when we have friends dropping by often, I still want more. More people around most of the time. So I consider whether to have more children... don't know. Or whether a smaller community is what we need. Or do I just need to open myself more to the people who are around us? Or maybe all of these things.
